Investors in People is a prestige international standard awarded by non-profit organization Investors in People Community Interest Company (Great Britain). IIP standard evaluates company’s work with their personnel by nine criteria including Leadership & Inspiration, Performance Management and Continuous Growth Assurance.
2021 was the first year when MMK made an application for accreditation in Investors in People, and at first attempt the Company was awarded the Golden status by-passing Standard and Silver statuses which is illustrative of the high quality of their HR activities. At the present moment MMK is the only large Russian company that was awarded Investors in People accreditation let alone Golden status. Earlier only foreign companies had IIP accreditation on the territory of Russia.
Based on consideration of Magnitogorsk Steelworks application and interviews held in the Company with managers of various levels (including General Director Pavel Shilyaev) and plant workers from different departments, as well as questionnaire survey, IIP experts gave to MMK a score of 704 points out of 900 points maximum which is higher than the average score for production companies (688 points). MMK received a particularly high appraisal upon such criteria as Work Structuring and Continuous Growth Assurance.

Investors in People quality standard was developed in Great Britain in 1991 with the participation of Confederation of British Industries and British Congress of Unions. Investors in People company was founded in 1993 to develop and promote this standard as well as ensure its integrity and quality. In 1997 Investors in People standard acquired an international status and now operates in more than 80 countries. The IIP certificate is believed to be prestige throughout the world and increases the attractiveness of any company for both investors and employees.
