On October 20-23, 2025, Gubkin University hosted the XVI All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists, Specialists and Students "New Technologies in the Gas Industry" (gas, oil, energy).
The purpose of the conference is to involve young specialists in solving the main tasks of the fuel and energy complex, covering the entire production cycle: from prospecting and exploration of deposits to the sale of end products.
The conference also included breakout sessions on 15 different areas and more than 230 scientific reports were heard over the course of two days. An expert commission traditionally consisting of heads and specialists of Gazprom divisions and employees of Gubkin University evaluated the work of the young specialists.
M.P. Polikarpov, the Deputy General Director for Science at Business Trend LLC, the Head of the Department at Gubkin University, and L.S. Chugunov, the ex-Head of the Gazprom Department headed the section "Problems of development, standardization, certification and reliability of oil and gas complex equipment".
V.A. Soldatov and A.V. Elfimov, the heads of the Certification and Standardization Center of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC, came out with master classes at the opening of the section meeting.
24 scientific papers of young specialists addressed to the development of new technologies and equipment, solving urgent problems of standardization and certification of oil and gas equipment throughout the production cycle were presented during the section. Representatives of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow LLC, Gazpromneft - Yamal LLC, Gazprom Transgaz Samara LLC, Gazprom Transgaz Krasnodar LLC, Gazprom UGS LLC, Gazprom LNG Portovaya LLC, Gazprom Transgaz Kazan LLC, Gazprom Neft Shelf LLC, Gazprom Dobycha Nadym LLC, Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin, Tomsk Polytechnic University defended their reports.
The best works were selected as a result of the conference and a ceremony of awarding and congratulating the winners was held.
