The first International Conference "Topical Issues of Standardization and Quality Assurance of organizations of the petrochemical complex" was held on the territory of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center in Kazan on August 26 and 27, 2025. The event was held within the framework of the annual Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum - 2025.
The conference was organized by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) and the Academy of Standardization, Metrology and Certification (educational) with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Over 200 people took part in the conference in face-to-face and online format, including:
‒ representatives of federal and republican executive authorities (the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Rosstandart, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other departments of the Republic of Tatarstan);
‒ foreign guests from the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the governing bodies of CIS countries (the Executive Committee of CIS countries, the MGS Bureau, NP CIS CIC);
- representatives of Russian science and universities (Russian Institute of Standardization, VNIIM named after D.I. Mendeleev, Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin; KIU named after V.G. Timiryasov, NRU MGSU, etc.)
‒ representatives of industry and business (RSPP, the Codex Consortium, the National LNG Association, Transneft PJSC, SIBUR LLC, INTI INO, Tatneft PJSC, APTS Associations, ASMK LLC, NPAA Associations, NARK INO, etc.);
‒ representatives of the technical committees and regional centers of Rosstandart (TC 023, TC 060, TC 024, FBU "CSM Tatarstan", etc.).
The general theme of the conference was the expansion of cooperation between enterprises of the petrochemical complex in terms of standardization and quality management, the development of cross-industry cooperation and the introduction of digital standardization technologies as a tool to improve the efficiency of enterprises of the complex.
At the invitation of the organizers of the event, M.P. Polikarpov, the Deputy General Director for Science of Business Trend LLC and the Head of the Department of Gubkin University, delivered a report on "Training of quality infrastructure specialists for enterprises of the petrochemical complex."
In particular, it was noted at the conference that in order to solve staffing objectives in the field of quality infrastructure it is proposed with the active participation of employers to develop methods for determining the demand forecasts for specialists and a set of their competencies. The approach should take into account the periods, levels and categories of employment with reference to industry and corporate specifics as well as the model of distribution of functions and requirements between participants in educational activities including employers and the labor market as a whole.
