The new version of the Classifier is aimed at setting the requirements in the modern fields of activity for which the standardization documents are developed. The new version of the Classifier is based on the updated version of the International Classification of Standards (ISO ICS), taking into account the specifics of the state economy.
The Classifier is designed to build catalogs, indexes, bibliographic materials, the formation of databases on standards and other normative and technical documents.
In the development of the new version the objects of classification, the hierarchical three-stage system of classification and the structure of code designation which was adopted in the acting Classifier have been preserved.
New version of All-Russian Standard Classifier OK 001-2021 (ISO CEN) will take effect on January 1, 2022.
Earlier, Rosstandart approved a new version of the Unified Codifier of supplies for federal state needs, which was the basis for the classifier of standards for defense products.
