In 2021 the rating was put together with an emphasis on ESG agenda therefore the metrics for evaluation of companies were combined in three groups: Employees and Community (S), Environment (E), and Corporate Management (G). The method took into account mostly quantitative indicators, and the summary table classifies the participants not by places but by four groups: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze depending on their score. Rating compilers also involved an expert jury in the assessment. As a result of the rating TMK received a high appraisal of their activities and the Golden Employer status.
Since the very moment of its foundation TMK follows the principles or responsible business operation investing in environmental friendliness of production and labor safety, strengthening HR potential and helping to develop regions of presence. Special attention is given to the environmental agenda: over the last two decades TMK companies had major technical and technological upgrade due to which the volume of air contaminant emissions and waste water disposal cut in half. The Company completely switched to steel making in electric arc furnaces using scrap as raw material which minimizes the carbon foot print. The central element of HR potential development in TMK is the Corporate University ТМК2U that manages talents and searches for perspective employees helping their career progression.
