RosTerminalUgol and Severstal signed the respective agreement in June 2021 during XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The erection of a wind & dustproof fencing around a coal storage yard is one of stages of the comprehensive program of enhancement of the terminal environmental safety.
Severstal is in charge of a packaged supply of products with overall volume of 1300 ton, i.e. upright frame steelwork and wind & dustproof screens. The Company experts suggested using an alternative steel choice – rolled stock with zinc coating. This will increase anti-corrosion resistance of finished products which matches its future corrosive service environment.
The Company involved “Severstal Steel Solutions” capacities in manufacture of structural frames. The workers of the Company’s site in Orel ensured the full production cycle from rolled stock cutting to painting of finished products. The full scope of steelwork of about 750 ton has already been delivered to Customer.
Severstal set up the production of wind & dustproof screens according to the partner program for the first time in Russian metallurgic companies practice. All in all 550 ton of such product will be manufactured. The first batches have already been delivered to Customer. The Company is planning to finish shipping in January 2021.
