In the province of Bushehr, near the city of Dyer, the world's largest methanol plant "Kaveh Methanol" is ready to launch, capable of producing 7000 tons/day of methanol. Trial production of methanol at the plant was carried out in 2018. The outstanding feature of this plant is its world's largest reforming plant, which converts natural gas into synthesis gas. According to forecasts of Iranian oil Minister B. Zanganeh, by 2021, Iran will produce 92 million tons of petrochemicals.
